Open the Contacts app or Phone app
Select the contact you want to silence
Tap Edit
Tap Ringtone
Set the ringtone to None
Tap Done
Tap Text Tone
Set the text tone to None
Tap Done
Turn on Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode if you want to silence all alerts from that contact
Open the contact card in Messages and tap Hide Alerts to mute message notifications
