How To Soothe Newborn Gas?

Burp your baby during and after feeds

Feed in a more upright position

Keep the bottle nipple full of milk to reduce swallowed air

Try slower-flow nipples if bottle-feeding

Check latch and positioning if breastfeeding

Hold your baby upright for 15 to 30 minutes after feeding

Gently bicycle your baby’s legs

Massage your baby’s belly in a clockwise motion

Give supervised tummy time when awake

Use gentle rocking or swaying

Try a warm bath

Avoid overfeeding

Watch for signs of formula intolerance or allergy

Contact a pediatrician if gas is severe, persistent, or comes with vomiting, fever, poor feeding, or a swollen belly
