Check sprayed-on fireproofing on beams and ceilings
Inspect textured coatings and patching compounds
Look for wrapped cloth-like insulation on pipes and furnaces
Check old brake pads, gaskets, and clutch parts
Watch for labels, product records, or building documents mentioning asbestos
Assume damaged, crumbling, or dusty older materials may contain asbestos
Do not disturb suspicious materials
