Sit on the bike and keep both feet on the ground
Put on the helmet and fasten it securely
Check that the bike is in neutral or the clutch is pulled in
Turn the fuel valve on, if applicable
Turn the ignition key to the on position
Switch the engine kill switch to run
Pull in the clutch, if the bike has one
Press the starter button or kick-start the bike
Release the clutch slowly after the engine starts
Keep the bike steady before moving off
