Avoid anti-diarrheal medicine if you have fever, bloody stool, or severe abdominal pain
Seek medical help if diarrhea is severe, lasts more than 2 days, or you have signs of dehydration
Seek urgent care if you have blood in stool, black stool, severe pain, fainting, or confusion
