Keep the paws clean and dry
Trim excess hair between the paw pads
Use an Elizabethan collar or soft cone to prevent licking
Distract your dog with chew toys or puzzle toys
Wash bedding regularly
Vacuum floors and reduce dust, pollen, and irritants
Avoid walking on hot pavement, salt, or rough surfaces
Use dog booties outdoors if needed
