Click the Stop button in the menu bar
Press Command + Control + Esc
Open Control Center and stop Screen Recording
Click the screen recording icon in the menu bar and stop it
If using QuickTime Player, click the Stop Recording button in the control bar
If using Screenshot toolbar, press Escape or click Stop Recording
Force quit the recording app if it is frozen
Restart your Mac if the recording will not stop
