Clean and dry the skin
Cut the kinesiology tape into the needed strips
Round the tape corners
Sit with the ankle at a 90-degree angle
Anchor one end of the first strip on the top of the foot
Bring the tape up and around the ankle with light stretch
Lay the ends down without stretch
Apply a second strip in a figure-eight pattern if needed
Add a heel lock strip for extra support if needed
Rub the tape to activate the adhesive
Check for proper circulation and comfort
Remove the tape if numbness, tingling, or increased pain occurs
