Wash towels separately from other laundry
Use hot water if the care label allows
Add 1 cup of white vinegar to the wash cycle
Run a second wash with 1/2 cup of baking soda
Use no detergent during the vinegar wash
Use a small amount of detergent in regular future washes
Avoid fabric softener and dryer sheets
Dry towels completely after washing
Repeat the stripping process if needed
Wash stripped towels with similar colors only
