Check the care label on the jacket
Close all zippers, flaps, and Velcro
Empty all pockets
Use a front-loading washing machine if possible
Wash on a gentle cycle with cold or warm water
Use a down-specific or mild liquid detergent
Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or powdered detergent
Run an extra rinse cycle if needed
Remove the jacket promptly after washing
Tumble dry on low heat
Add clean tennis balls or dryer balls to help restore loft
Check the jacket periodically during drying
Continue drying until completely dry
Shake the jacket gently to redistribute the down
Store the jacket fully dry in a cool, dry place
