Identify the embroidery type and fabric
Turn the garment inside out
Place the fabric on a flat, well-lit surface
Use a seam ripper or small embroidery scissors
Cut only the embroidery threads on the back side
Gently pull loosened threads from the front
Remove remaining thread bits with tweezers
Brush away lint and thread fragments
Check for holes, snags, or residue
Use a lint roller or fabric shaver if needed
Wash or steam the area to help relax the fabric
Press the fabric flat with an iron if appropriate
Repair any visible holes with matching thread or patching
Test on a hidden area first if the fabric is delicate
