Turn the ignition off and lift the wiper arm away from the windshield
Locate the attachment point where the wiper blade connects to the arm
Press the release tab, clip, or button on the wiper blade connector
Slide the blade downward or outward to disengage it from the arm
If there is a hook-style arm, rotate the blade until it unhooks from the arm
Remove the blade carefully from the wiper arm
Lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield gently
Repeat the process for the other wiper blade
