Disconnect the negative battery cable
Locate the alternator
Remove the engine cover if needed
Release belt tension
Remove the serpentine belt from the alternator pulley
Disconnect the alternator electrical connector
Remove the alternator power cable
Remove any brackets, covers, or hoses blocking access
Remove the alternator mounting bolts
Lift the alternator out of the engine bay
Compare the old alternator with the replacement before installation
