Open the pocket door fully
Remove the trim or stop molding if it blocks access to the track
Locate the hanger adjustment screws on the top edge of the door
Loosen the screws to lower the door slightly
Lift the door upward to disengage the rollers from the track
Tilt the bottom of the door out toward you
Pull the door free from the pocket opening
Remove any floor guide if needed
Have another person help if the door is heavy or large
