Wrap the leader around your non-dominant hand and keep it under tension
Lay the braid across the leader at a shallow angle
Alternate wraps of braid over and under the leader, keeping each wrap tight
Make 20 to 24 alternating wraps
Pull the braid snug to lock the wraps in place
Tie a half hitch with the braid around both lines
Tie a second half hitch with the braid around both lines
Tie a third half hitch with the braid around both lines
Tie a fourth half hitch with the braid around both lines
Tie two more half hitches around the braid only
Pull the knot tight to cinch everything down
Trim the braid tag end close
Trim the leader tag end close
Test the knot before use
