How to Transplant Aloe Vera?

Choose a pot with drainage holes

Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix

Water the aloe lightly a day before transplanting if the soil is very dry

Gently remove the aloe from its current pot

Loosen soil from the roots carefully

Separate any offsets or pups if desired

Inspect roots and trim off any rotten or damaged parts

Fill the new pot partway with fresh soil

Place the aloe in the new pot at the same depth as before

Add soil around the roots and lightly firm it

Keep the crown above the soil line

Do not pack the soil tightly

Wait a few days before watering after transplanting

Place the plant in bright indirect light

Resume normal watering only after the soil dries out

Avoid fertilizing immediately after transplanting
