Open the Android Auto app on your phone
Tap the menu icon
Tap Settings
Turn off Start Android Auto while locked
Turn off Start Android Auto automatically
On your car’s infotainment system, remove or disable your phone from Android Auto
On your phone, go to Settings
Tap Apps
Tap Android Auto
Tap Disable
If Disable is unavailable, tap Uninstall updates or Force stop
To stop Android Auto from launching over USB, disconnect the USB cable
To prevent wireless Android Auto, turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi or forget the car from Bluetooth settings
