Open Settings on your iPad
Tap Bluetooth
Find your Apple Pencil in the device list
Tap the info icon next to Apple Pencil
Tap Disconnect
To fully turn it off, remove it from Bluetooth by tapping Forget This Device
If you use Apple Pencil Pro or Apple Pencil with USB-C, detach it from the iPad
If you want to stop charging and pairing, remove the Apple Pencil from the iPad’s magnetic side
To turn off Apple Pencil temporarily, leave it disconnected from Bluetooth
To turn it back on, reconnect or re-pair it with your iPad
