Open Instagram
Go to your Direct Messages
Open the chat with disappearing messages
Tap the person’s name at the top
Tap Privacy and safety
Tap Disappearing messages
Select Off
If the option is not available, the other person may have enabled vanish mode or chat settings that cannot be changed from your side
