Check whether your Dell laptop has a backlit keyboard
Press the keyboard backlight key, usually F5, F6, F10, or the right-arrow key with a light icon
Hold the Fn key and press the backlight key if needed
Press the backlight key repeatedly to cycle through brightness levels
Open Dell QuickSet or Dell Feature Enhancement Pack if your model uses software controls
Go to BIOS or UEFI settings and enable Keyboard Illumination if the option is available
Use Dell SupportAssist or Dell Command | Update to install the latest keyboard or system drivers
Restart the laptop if the backlight does not turn on
Check the laptop model specifications if no backlight key is present
