How to Type Roman Numbers in Word?

Type Roman numerals directly using letters: I, V, X, L, C, D, M

Use uppercase letters for standard Roman numerals

Use lowercase letters if you want lowercase Roman numerals

Insert a Roman numeral list by typing a number and a period, then pressing Space if AutoCorrect is enabled
