Remove the drain stopper or strainer
Pull out visible hair and debris from the drain opening
Pour boiling water down the drain if the pipes are metal
Add baking soda to the drain
Pour vinegar into the drain
Wait 15 to 30 minutes
Flush with hot water
Use a plunger over the drain opening
Seal the overflow opening with a wet cloth while plunging
Repeat plunging several times
Use a drain snake or auger to reach deeper clogs
Insert the snake into the drain and rotate it
Pull out debris and repeat as needed
Remove and clean the P-trap if accessible
Reassemble the drain parts securely
Test the drain with running water
Use a wet/dry vacuum to pull out stubborn clogs
Avoid chemical drain cleaners if possible
Call a plumber if the clog remains or water backs up repeatedly
