Back up important files
Check that your laptop meets Windows 10 requirements
Connect the laptop to power
Connect to a stable internet connection
Open Settings
Go to Update & Security
Click Windows Update
Select Check for updates
Download and install available updates
If Windows 10 is offered, select Download and install
If needed, use the Windows 10 Installation Assistant or Media Creation Tool from Microsoft
Follow the on-screen prompts
Accept the license terms
Choose whether to keep personal files and apps
Start the installation
Wait for the laptop to restart and finish updating
Sign in after the update completes
Run Windows Update again to install remaining updates
Reinstall any missing drivers or apps if needed
