Open the App Store on iPhone or the Google Play Store on Android
Search for TikTok
Tap Update if it is available
Open TikTok after the update finishes
If no update appears, check that your device is connected to the internet
If needed, restart your phone and check again
On iPhone, enable automatic app updates in Settings
On Android, enable automatic app updates in Google Play settings
