Read the chainsaw’s manual before use
Wear proper protective gear
Inspect the chainsaw before starting
Check fuel, oil, and chain tension
Clear the work area of people and obstacles
Stand with a stable footing
Hold the chainsaw with both hands
Start the chainsaw according to the manual
Keep the chain brake engaged when starting if required

Cut with the lower part of the bar when possible
