How To Use Female Condoms To Avoid Pregnancy?

Check the package for the expiration date and make sure the wrapper is intact

Wash your hands before opening the condom

Open the package carefully and remove the condom

Find the inner ring and squeeze it together

Insert the inner ring into the vagina as far as it will comfortably go

Push the condom in until the inner ring sits near the cervix and the outer ring stays outside the vagina

Make sure the condom is not twisted

Guide the penis into the condom before any genital contact

Hold the outer ring in place during intercourse if needed

After sex, twist the outer ring to keep semen inside

Gently pull the condom out

Throw it away in the trash, not the toilet

Use a new condom every time you have sex

Do not use a female condom and a male condom at the same time

Use water-based or silicone-based lubricant if needed

Check the condom for tears or damage before use

Use emergency contraception if the condom breaks or slips out and pregnancy is a concern
