Charge the Kindle Paperwhite using the USB-C cable
Press the power button to turn it on
Select your language
Connect to Wi-Fi
Sign in to your Amazon account
Register the device if prompted
Open the Kindle Store to buy books
Download books from your library
Tap a book to start reading
Swipe or tap the screen to turn pages
Tap the top of the screen to open the reading menu
Adjust font size, font style, margins, and brightness from the menu
Use the built-in light for reading in the dark
Tap the center of the screen to access reading options
Add bookmarks by tapping the top-right corner
Highlight text by pressing and holding a word
Look up words using the dictionary
Search within a book using the menu
Sync your reading progress across devices
Put the Kindle to sleep by pressing the power button briefly
Turn it off by holding the power button and selecting power off
Charge it regularly when the battery is low
Use the Settings menu to manage Wi-Fi, account, and device options
