Check the care label for washing instructions
Close all zippers, snaps, and Velcro
Empty all pockets
Spot clean any stains first
Use a front-loading washing machine if possible
Wash on a gentle or delicate cycle
Use cold water
Use a small amount of down-safe or mild detergent
Do not use bleach or fabric softener
Wash the coat alone or with a few similar items
Run an extra rinse cycle if needed
Remove the coat carefully after washing
Gently press out excess water without wringing
Tumble dry on low heat with clean tennis balls or dryer balls
Break up clumps by hand during drying
Keep drying until the down is completely dry
Air dry fully if needed after tumble drying
Store the coat only when it is completely dry
