Check the care label
Spot test for colorfastness
Remove loose dirt with a soft brush
Fill a basin with cool water and mild detergent
Gently hand wash the cap
Focus on sweatbands and stained areas
Rinse with cool water until soap is gone
Press out excess water with a clean towel
Reshape the cap
Air dry on a towel or cap form
Keep away from direct heat and sunlight
Do not machine dry unless the label allows it
