Wash eggs only if they are visibly dirty
Use warm water, not cold water
Gently wipe or rinse the shell
Use a clean brush or cloth if needed
Avoid soaking eggs in water
Dry eggs immediately with a clean towel
Refrigerate eggs after washing
Do not wash eggs until just before use if possible
