Rinse the strawberries under cool running water
Fill a bowl with 4 cups of water
Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the water
Stir until the baking soda dissolves
Place the strawberries in the solution
Soak them for 5 to 10 minutes
Gently swish the strawberries in the water
Remove the strawberries from the bowl
Rinse them thoroughly under cool running water
Pat them dry with a clean paper towel or cloth
Remove the stems after washing if desired
