How To Cook Miso Soup With Paste?

Gather miso paste, dashi or broth, water, tofu, wakame, and scallions

Heat water or dashi in a pot until hot but not boiling

Add tofu and wakame, then simmer briefly

Turn off the heat

Place miso paste in a small bowl or ladle

Dissolve the miso paste with a little hot broth

Stir the dissolved miso back into the pot

Do not boil after adding miso

Add sliced scallions

Taste and adjust with more miso if needed

Serve warm
