Check your motherboard compatibility
Check your power supply wattage and connectors
Measure your PC case clearance
Back up important data
Download the latest GPU drivers
Shut down the computer and unplug it
Ground yourself to prevent static discharge
Open the PC case
Disconnect power cables from the old graphics card
Remove any screws or retention clips holding the card
Release the PCIe slot latch
Remove the old graphics card
Insert the new graphics card into the PCIe x16 slot
Secure the card with screws or clips
Connect the required PCIe power cables
Close the PC case
Reconnect the monitor to the new graphics card
Plug the computer back in and power it on
Install or update the graphics drivers
Restart the computer if needed
Verify the new GPU is detected and working properly
