Eat or drink fast-acting carbohydrates
Drink fruit juice
Drink regular soda
Take glucose tablets
Take glucose gel
Eat honey
Eat sugar or candy
Eat raisins or other dried fruit
Eat a small snack with carbohydrates and protein after recovery
Recheck blood sugar after 15 minutes
Repeat fast-acting carbohydrates if blood sugar is still low
Seek emergency help if symptoms are severe or the person cannot swallow
Use glucagon if prescribed and trained to do so
