Keep your Aadhaar or other valid ID proof ready
Generate a UPC by sending an SMS from your Jio number to 1900 with the text PORT
Receive the UPC and note its validity period
Visit an Airtel store or Airtel retailer
Carry your UPC, ID proof, and passport-size photo if asked
Fill the mobile number portability form
Submit the form and documents to request porting to Airtel
Choose your Airtel prepaid or postpaid plan
Keep using your Jio SIM until it stops working
Insert the Airtel SIM when the porting is completed
Complete any required SIM activation or verification steps
Wait for the porting process to finish, usually within a few days
