Click Windows Update
Click Advanced options
Turn off all available update options
Open Services
Find Windows Update
Right-click Windows Update
Click Properties
Set Startup type to Disabled
Click Stop
Click Apply
Click OK
Open Task Scheduler
Go to Task Scheduler Library
Go to Microsoft
Go to Windows
Select UpdateOrchestrator
Disable update-related tasks
Open Group Policy Editor
Go to Computer Configuration
Go to Administrative Templates
Go to Windows Components
Go to Windows Update
Open Configure Automatic Updates
Set it to Disabled
Click Apply
Click OK
Set your network connection as Metered
Open Registry Editor
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindows
Create the WindowsUpdate key if missing
Create the AU key if missing
Add or change the NoAutoUpdate value to 1
Restart the computer
