How to Cook Chuck Roast Steaks?

Pat chuck roast steaks dry

Season generously with salt and pepper

Let steaks sit at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes

Heat a heavy skillet or grill over medium-high heat

Add a small amount of oil to the pan if using a skillet

Sear steaks for 3 to 5 minutes per side

Reduce heat to medium-low

Cook until desired doneness, about 130 to 135 F for medium-rare or 140 to 145 F for medium

If steaks are thick, finish in a 350 F oven until tender and cooked through

Remove steaks from heat

Rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing

Slice against the grain

Serve immediately
