How to Remove a Catheter?

Wash your hands thoroughly

Gently withdraw the catheter slowly and steadily

Stop if there is pain, resistance, or bleeding

Apply gentle pressure with gauze if needed

Dispose of the catheter and supplies properly

Wash your hands again

Seek medical help if removal is difficult or symptoms occur
