How to Use Superscript in Excel?

Select the cell and highlight the character(s) you want to make superscript

Press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog

Go to the Font tab

Check Superscript

Click OK

For a single character in a cell, edit the cell and select only that character before applying superscript

If Superscript is unavailable, use the equation editor or insert the superscript character from Unicode

Use the CHAR or UNICHAR function for common superscript symbols when needed

Copy and paste superscript text from another source if formatting is not supported directly

Use Alt codes or the Symbol dialog to insert superscript characters

Apply superscript in charts, text boxes, or shapes by editing the text and formatting the selected characters
