Choose a safe open area away from people, animals, roads, and obstacles
Use a boomerang designed for your throwing hand
Hold the boomerang by one end with the curved side facing outward
Tilt the boomerang slightly from vertical
Grip it firmly but not tightly
Stand sideways to your target area
Keep your throwing arm relaxed
Throw it with an overhand motion
Release it with a quick snap of the wrist
Aim slightly to the side of where you want it to return
Throw with enough spin for stability
Use a moderate amount of force
Watch its path and adjust your angle and release point
Catch it only if you are confident and it is safe to do so
Practice repeatedly to improve accuracy and return flight
