Choose the right fastener for the item’s weight
Mark the hanging location on the brick, not the mortar
Use a masonry drill bit sized for the anchor
Drill a hole into the brick at the marked spot
Insert a wall anchor, sleeve anchor, or masonry screw as needed
Drive the screw or hook into the anchor
Hang the item on the installed hardware
For heavy items, use multiple anchors and a level
Avoid drilling into damaged or crumbling brick
Use a hammer drill for easier masonry drilling
