Run an empty hot water cycle with 2 cups of white vinegar
Wipe the drum, door, and gasket with a vinegar-dampened cloth
Scrub the detergent drawer and dispenser with warm soapy water
Clean the rubber door seal, folds, and crevices thoroughly
Remove and rinse the lint filter or drain pump filter
Run another empty hot cycle with 1/2 cup of baking soda
Leave the washer door open after each use to dry
Remove wet clothes promptly after cycles finish
Use the correct amount of detergent
Use high-efficiency detergent if required by the machine
Clean the washer monthly to prevent odor buildup
Check and clean the drain hose if odors persist
