Turn off the pool pump and power
Release pressure from the filter system
Open the filter housing
Remove the cartridge
Rinse loose debris off with a garden hose
Spray between the pleats from top to bottom
Soak the cartridge in a cartridge cleaner if needed
Rinse thoroughly after soaking
Inspect for tears, cracks, or worn pleats
Reinstall the cartridge
Close the housing securely
Restart the pump and check for leaks
