How to Divide Aloe Vera Plant?

Water the aloe plant lightly a day before dividing

Remove the plant from its pot or garden bed

Gently shake off loose soil from the roots

Identify natural offsets or clumps with separate root systems

Use a clean, sharp knife if roots are tightly connected

Cut between sections, keeping roots attached to each division

Let cut surfaces dry and callus for 1 to 2 days

Prepare separate pots with well-draining cactus or succulent soil

Plant each division at the same depth as before

Do not water immediately after planting

Wait several days before the first light watering

Place the new plants in bright, indirect light

Resume normal watering only after new growth appears
