Lay the sweater flat on a clean surface
Gently pull the fabric around the snag to ease tension
Use a crochet hook, needle, or small hook to pull the snagged loop to the inside of the sweater
If the snag is a loose thread, gently work it back into the knit with a needle
Trim only a tiny frayed end if necessary, avoiding cutting the main yarn
For a pulled loop, smooth the surrounding stitches with your fingers
Steam the area lightly if needed to help the fibers relax
Avoid tugging hard on the snag
If the snag is large or the knit is damaged, take the sweater to a tailor or repair specialist
