Gather washing soda, borax, and grated bar soap
Mix 1 part washing soda, 1 part borax, and 1 part grated soap
Stir until evenly combined
Store the detergent in an airtight container
Use 1 to 2 tablespoons per load
For liquid detergent, dissolve grated soap in hot water
Add washing soda and borax to the mixture
Stir until fully blended
Let it cool before storing
Shake before each use
Keep away from children and pets
Test on a small load first
