Turn on your Fire TV device
Put batteries in the new Firestick remote
Hold the Home button on the new remote for about 10 seconds
Wait for the light to start flashing
Keep the remote close to the Fire TV device
If it does not pair automatically, go to Settings
Select Controllers & Bluetooth Devices
Select Amazon Fire TV Remotes
Select Add New Remote
Press the Home button on the new remote again
Wait for the remote to appear on the screen
Select the remote with the existing remote or Fire TV app
Test the new remote
If needed, restart the Fire TV device and try again
