Insert fresh batteries into the new Fire TV remote
Turn on your Fire TV device and TV
Move the new remote close to the Fire TV device
Press and hold the Home button on the new remote for about 10 seconds
Wait for the pairing message to appear on the screen
If it does not pair, go to Settings
Select Controllers & Bluetooth Devices
Select Amazon Fire TV Remotes
Select Add New Remote
Press and hold the Home button again until the remote appears
Select the remote on the screen to complete pairing
If needed, restart the Fire TV device and try again
If needed, unplug the Fire TV device for 60 seconds and plug it back in
If needed, remove and reinsert the batteries in the remote
If needed, move closer to the Fire TV device and retry pairing
