Blot up as much coffee as possible with a clean white cloth or paper towel
Do not rub the stain
Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap with 2 cups of warm water
Apply the solution to the stain with a clean cloth
Blot from the outside toward the center
Repeat until the stain lifts
Rinse the area with a cloth dampened with plain water
Blot dry with a clean towel
Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water if the stain remains
Apply the vinegar solution and blot again
Sprinkle baking soda on the area after cleaning to help absorb moisture and odor
Vacuum the carpet once it is fully dry
Repeat the process if needed
Use a carpet cleaner for stubborn stains if necessary
