Open the Watch app on your iPhone
Tap Face Gallery
Choose a watch face that supports complications
Tap a complication slot on the face
Select a steps app complication, such as Pedometer++, Duffy, or StepsApp
Add the watch face to your Apple Watch
On your Apple Watch, swipe to the face with the steps complication
Tap the complication if needed to view step details
If you do not see a steps complication, install a third-party steps app first
If your watch face does not support complications, switch to one that does
